About Meta Tag Extractor
The Meta Tag Extractor is an auditing tool designed to check the “hidden” SEO data of any website. It scrapes the page to retrieve the Title Tag, Meta Description, Keywords, and Social Preview Image (OG:Image).
How to use it
- Option 1 (Fetch by URL): Enter a URL and click “Analyze URL.” We use proxy services to read the page content. If the site blocks proxies, use Option 2.
- Option 2 (Paste Source Code): This is the 100% reliable method. Right-click the webpage you want to check, choose “View Page Source,” copy the text, and paste it into the second tab here.
- Step 3: Review the results to see if your character counts are within the recommended limits (approx. 60 chars for titles, 160 for descriptions).
Troubleshooting
If you see “content not coming” or an error message, the website you are trying to analyze likely has strict security (like Cloudflare) that blocks automated scanners. In this case, simply use the Paste Source Code tab, which works for every website instantly.
